A Wellness Center just for the ‘health’ of it

Matt Sink
?Employee-first? is not just a mantra at Mickey Truck Bodies, it?s a company-wide commitment to ensure that the safety, health, and wellness of the Mickey team is our number one corporate priority. That means more than providing proper PPE and a clean and safe work environment, which we are focused on every single day. Putting our employees first also means helping them stay healthy and helping them get better ? quickly and clinically ? when they are feeling ill or experience a workplace injury.
But while the Wellness Center is staffed and equipped to serve our employees? immediate medical needs on-site, its creation reflects Mickey?s overall corporate vision and strategic objectives. The ongoing health and wellness of our teammates is a long-term goal. Our strategic partner in this latest endeavor ? Wake Forest Baptist Health (WFBH), is an expert in personal health and wellness. Under its guidance we will continue to meet our health and wellness objectives now and in the future.
One of the many lessons we learned from the Covid crisis is the importance of keeping essential workers healthy and able to work to supply products and services that people require to live. The Mickey Wellness Center is a major step in that direction, especially in what is expected to be the ?new normal? of the post pandemic. But at Mickey, ?employees-first? will always be the norm.
