In Sink: 2 more reasons to be Merry
By Dean Sink, Mickey President

What an uplifting time of year this is ? and I?m not just talking about all the Holiday cheer.
Case in point #1: We just celebrated 200 accident-free days at Mickey Truck Bodies, and I hope you understand the magnitude of that accomplishment. I have been working in the heavy manufacturing industry all of my adult life, where accidents and injuries are part of the landscape. To go 200 straight days without an accident is amazing in any workplace environment; it?s almost unheard of in the heavy manufacturing sector. Except here at Mickey, where safety is always our top priority. It?s like Josh Soto, our Safety Manager, says: Mickey has ?embraced a companywide safety-first culture.?
Case in point #2: The Mickey team once again participated 100% in the annual United Way campaign, and once again we set a new record for total donations. Our compassion and generosity will go a long way in helping the needy families in our area so that they may experience a Merry Christmas. On top of our United Way contributions, our employees decided, on their own, to run a toy drive to collect toys for needy children in our area and nearby counties. (You can follow our progress on the Mickey Facebook page.) The space where we are holding the donated toys for The Salvation Army looks more like Santa?s Workshop than it does office space.
Talk about hitting the Holiday season on a high note! Happy reading.
