Mickey On Tap at FL Beer Meet

?Productivity? was the general theme at the annual Florida Beer Wholesalers Association conference last month in Destin, FL, attended by the state?s 6 major beer distributors as well as a handful of select suppliers, including Mickey Truck Bodies.
?It was a great opportunity to meet the decision makers from these 6 companies in a relaxed atmosphere,? says Todd Holm, Mickey?s Southeast Sales Manager. It?s a chance to develop relationships and get to know the people behind the business.
?Several wholesalers stopped by our booth to comment on our refrigerated trailers. One owner referred to Mickey as ?the supplier of great combo trailers.? It was a strong endorsement of the Mickey trailer solution. Our Double Play trailers and Red Bull bodies were also hot topics.?
In his keynote address, Jim Koch, President of Sam Adams Brewery, gave the wholesalers some simple advice in positioning their companies: ?Be cheaper or be better, and go to market with that philosophy.?
Other speakers touched on productivity in the delivery process, suggesting ideas like having the merchandiser handle daily replenishment, sales staying in front of decision makers and drivers simply driving, according to Todd.
