Mickey Employees Set New Standard for Giving

Mickey employees contributed nearly $104,000 and had 100% participation in the 2013 Greater High Point United Way campaign, making it the company?s best year ever in the long-running fundraising program. Mickey also had 209 “Fair Share Givers,” employees who donated the equivalent of 1 hour of pay per month.

Roman Rodarte, a Mickey employee in the Finishing Department and a “Fair Share Giver,” is a finalist in the Vann York Auto Group Car Give-Away. The name of 1 “Fair Share Giver” from the High Point Community is drawn randomly each week for 10 weeks up to December 10. The 10 finalists will convene at the local Vann York dealership on December 10th, where each will be given a key. One of those keys will start a brand new car and that person will drive away in the grand prize. Look for the next issue of The Mickey Spirit to see if Roman wins the car.

Mickey Truck Bodies and its employees are consistently among the top corporate contributors in the state to the United Way program. Approximately 93% of all Mickey employees participate in the United Way drive every year, and 72% of Mickey employees pledge at least a “Fair Share? donation. Mickey also accounts for several “Leadership” donors – $1,000 or more – during each campaign.
