FL beer distributors talk with Mickey

In his talk at the Florida conference, Jim Koch, Founder of The Boston Beer Company (Sam Adams), told distributors: ?It?s a lot easier to make beer than it is to deliver it and sell it.? Mickey is working to make the ?delivery? part much easier.
More than double the number of distributors attended the recent 2016 Beer Industry of Florida (BIF) Annual Conference in Miramar Beach, FL versus the year-earlier show, presenting the Mickey team with several unique opportunities to showcase the company?s new products and features. The added attendance was due to the combined participation of BIF and Florida Beer Wholesalers Association (FBWA) members, a first for this event.
?Many Florida distributors still utilize refrigerated combo-type side load trailers, but end loader operations are growing,? says Tom Arland, Mickey Vice President of Beverage, Van & Specialty Vehicle Sales. ?This gave us a great opportunity to discuss our new 21st Century trailer. It?s a heavy-duty bulk trailer for beverage delivery that features smooth side skins and an aerodynamic design. Distributors like it because it rides and handles better than conventional dry freight trailers. The unit is built on our beverage trailer production line.?
Mickey?s Southeast Regional Reconditioning & Service Center in Ocala, FL was another popular topic of conversation at the BIF convention. ?Florida beer distributors are very happy with the quality of our work and service in Ocala,? says Tom. ?Several of the people we visited with made it a point to mention Robert and his team.? (Robert Badley is the General Manager of Mickey?s Southeast Center.)
