Mickey Honors Gene Sikes For 47 Years of Loyalty
On August 22 Mickey Truck Bodies honored Gene Sikes, its longest tenured active employee with 47 years on the job. Only the late Mr. Carl Mickey, Sr., the son of the company founder, logged more years of service with the company.

“Gene Sikes is the ultimate Mickey employee,” said President
Dean Sink. “In all the years I have known Gene, there has never been any job too small or too big for him. I know that because there is virtually no job in the plant that he has not been responsible for at one time or another. Whether he was sweeping a floor or managing the entire manufacturing operation, he gave 100% effort because every job was important to him. I don’t think he’ll ever retire completely. At least I hope not.”
Carl Mickey, Jr., EVP, called Sikes “more than just a great employee. He is part of the Mickey family.”
