Each of the six stations has a 30- to 45-minute cycle period for a total maximum processing time of 4.5 hours per unit. Weather permitting, or not!
Paint technicians prime and paint the unit from air-actuated "man-lifts" that traverse the entire length and height of the unit without generating dust caused by dragging paint lines or hoses. Paint is mixed directly in computer-controlled paint guns on "as needed" basis. Computer will not activate paint guns until the airflow and temperature in the booth are up to predetermined specifications. All painting data is recorded on a per-unit basis to check for consistency and accuracy.
Mickey paint is supplied by Valspar, a leader in low-VOC primer and urethane top coats and refinishing innovation.
To help keep your new Mickey body or trailer looking like a work of art, every unit we build is shipped with a "touch-up kit" that includes both aerosol and brush containers of paint exactly matching the original topcoat color.
This unique painting system is available at Mickey's headquarters manufacturing complex in High Point, NC and also at each one of the company's 5 Reconditioning & Service Centers nationwide.
