Customer Service Now Part of Engineering
After working closely with the Mickey engineers on various projects for the past several months, Larry Jacobs, Customer Service Rep, is now officially a member of the Mickey Engineering Team, reporting directly to Noel DiBona, VP Engineering and R&D.
“The teamwork between Larry and our engineers has created significant benefits for the company,” says Noel. “As we continue on our 2015 journey from ‘Good to Great,’ it’s a logical next step to further increase this collaboration.”
According to Noel, “Mickey customers are looking for quick and efficient solutions. Identifying the root cause and using our engineering capabilities to develop a plan often reduces our response time in helping our customers. Frequently, our engineering skill sets are used to run calculations, tests and other analysis so we can effectively team with other Mickey specialists in production, purchasing and quality control to come up with good solutions. For example, we responded to field issues concerning our beverage drop and it resulted in the next generation design. Our goal is to convert our warranty challenges into opportunities to make our company better and improve the validity of our designs – continuous improvement.”
